Women, Infants and Children (WIC)

WIC serves are no longer offered at the Seneca Nation Health System (SNHS). The WIC program has been a part of SNHS for many years and it is unfortunate and with regret to have to close the program. On a positive note, NYS eWIC uses the latest in technology, it's easy to use, and allows for the convenience of immediate accessibility. We are hopeful once you make this transition you will enjoy the benefits of it. We refer eligible patients to establish themselves [and their children] at local Cattaraugus County Health Department or Catholic Charities of Buffalo WIC clinics. Please see the listing of locations (bottom of page) that are conveniently located throughout SNHS service area. The closest area satellite offices are located in:   ●  Gowanda  ●  Silver Creek  ●  Salamanca

The new eWIC system boasts many benefits and advantages from the paper voucher system you are used to. You also have more options for stores that accept eWIC. There are 33 stores within 25 miles of Cattaraugus Territory and 20 stores within 25 miles of Allegany Territory! There are no restrictions on where you go to certify, re-certify, and receive replenishment of benefits and education within New York State. To ensure a smooth transition to the NYS WIC offices you can call us during your appointment and staff can provide your Verification of Certification (VOC) from the Seneca Nation WIC office over the phone or you can call to request it ahead of time.

  • Convenient check out using EBT card
  • Visit any NY WIC office
  • More stores to choose from
  • WIC2Go app (see grocery items available for purchase, track appointments, map to stores and WIC offices)

Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance. Traci Wind is available (716) 532-5582 ext. 5268 or [email protected] for any questions or concerns.
